Madelyn Norma (Nelson) Rochlitz, 87, of Big Springs, died Monday, April 18, 2011, at the Indian Hills Manor in Ogallala.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2011 at United Methodist Church in Big Springs with Pastor Joy Savage officiating. Private family burial will be later.
Cremation was held and there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church and the Big Springs Fire and EMS.

Madelyn was born August 21, 1923 in Big Springs, Nebraska to Enon and Olga (Borgen) Nelson.
She was united in marriage to Harry Rochlitz on June 10, 1943 in Pueblo, Colorado. Together Madelyn and Harry raised 4 sons.
Madelyn loved auctions and antiquing, playing cards and sewing. She was a wonderful cook. Above all else, Madelyn loved her family and friends.
Survivors include her sons, Stan and Nancy of Paxton, Alan and Diann of Cheyenne, WY, Roger and Betty of Lewellen, and Kelly of Big Springs; 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2007; a still-born daughter; and a brother, Byron Nelson.
