Luetta was born on June 22, 1913 in Uehling, Nebraska to Fred and Magdalene (Menshik) Uehling.
Luetta’s grandparents founded the town of Uehling. She attended all of her schooling in Uehling.
On June 11, 1934 she married Marvin C Fritz. To this union one son, Kent, was born.
Kent was injured at birth which resulted in his being deaf. This necessitated a move for the family to Omaha when Kent was of school age so he could attend Nebraska School for the Deaf. On April 1, 1952 the family moved to Oshkosh for Marvin’s new position with the bank.
After Marvin’s retirement from the bank, the couple bought the local flower shop. They renamed it LuMars and operated the shop for the next 7 years.
Luetta joined the United Methodist Church in Oshkosh soon after their arrival in town. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Garden Club of Garden County, and a curator in the museums of the Historical Society of Garden County.
Luetta loved to sing, garden, arrange flowers, and was an excellent seamstress.
She is survived by her son, Kent Lewis Fritz of Oshkosh; sisters, Rosemary Hansen of Greeley, CO, and Beula Koehler of Bellevue, NE; nephews, Kirk, Bruce and Fred; and nieces Sandy and Mary.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1980; grandparents, Theodore and Katrina Uehling; parents, Fred and Magdalene Uehling; and brothers, Nevin and Wayne Uehling.
