Iris Brinkman, 87, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday evening, May 24, 2011, at the Garden County Health Services in Oshkosh.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 26, 2011, at the Oshkosh City Cemetery in Oshkosh with Pastor Lynn Lutz officiating. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2011, at the Garden County Nursing Home in Oshkosh.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial has been established to the Garden County Nursing Home.

Iris Brinkman was born February 2, 1924 on Terminal Island, California to David and Eliza (Stephens) Cowie. Iris grew up in Los Angeles and graduated from high school there. She attended Life Bible College for 4 years.
She married Ed Collier on September 22, 1973 at Carson, CA. They made their home at Spring Valley, CA. Ed passed away in 1980. On June 14, 1985 Iris married Donald Brinkman. They made their home in Chula Vista, CA. Donald passed away in 2006.
Iris worked at the North Island Naval Air Station in San Diego. There she was a member of the Southport Christian Center Foursquare Church. After Donald’s death, she moved to Oshkosh. Iris loved to play the piano and church was a very important part of her life.
Iris is survived by her nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; her parents; four brothers, George, Alexander, John and David; and one sister, Divina Cowie.
