George McPeak, 55, passed away at his home in Oshkosh, NE.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 19, 2011 at the Holechek Funeral Home in Oshkosh with Pastor Ray Weinerman officiating.
Private family burial of the ashes will be held at a later date.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Oshkosh Public Library.

He was born June 13, 1956 in Ogallala, NE to George and Betty McPeak.
George graduated from high school in Brule, NE in 1975. After graduating high school, he worked as a welder's helper on numerous natural gas pipelines in many states, including Oklahoma and Texas. For the last 30 years he has resided in Oshkosh doing various jobs.
George loved fishing, was an avid reader, and enjoyed visiting with people. You could always find him throughout the community with his best friend, “Carl", his dog. During George’s lifetime he has made wonderful friends and will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his step mother, Audrey McPeak of Mullen, NE and sisters; Adah Leu of Gillette, WY; Kathy (Darrell) Liebhart of Mullen, NE, Alicia (Lee) Fraley of Omaha, NE., and 2 nephew and 4 nieces.
Preceding him in death were his parents; George and Betty McPeak
