He was raised in Iowa until he was 6 years old then moved to Colorado Springs. After high school he traveled across the country living in a camper that he built for his flat bed 56 Ford pickup, finally making Sterling, Colorado his home. He married Debra Curtis and they had four children together.
Dave enjoyed construction and had a natural talent and gift in remodeling and building. After working for several construction companies he started his own business, Bower Construction in Sterling, Colorado in 1982, specializing in bathrooms and kitchens but loved to do it all. He always told us he truly loved his work. He was a proud member of the Better Business Bureau. Dave loved his family and was involved with his children. Dave was involved in Boy Scouts with his sons in Sterling. He was Cub Master from 1984 to 1989. Dave enjoyed fishing, camping, motorcycling, racket ball and tennis, anything to stay active.
Dave was married to Sharon Glassburn 1998 and they relocated his family and business to Sidney. Dave ran his business for 32 years retiring in October of 2011 due to his health. He was involved in Cub Scouts with his grandsons and was a Cub Master form 2001 to 2004. Dave received the Scouter Of The Year award in 2003. He has been active in Awanna's from 2007- 2011 with his daughter and grandchildren.
Dave had many loves in his life but the Lord was number one. He was a true fisherman of men, using the work of the Lord to give strength and encourage his family and friends.
