Everett Richard Soper was born on March 6, 1922 in Wisconsin. Everett grew up at Cataract, Wisconsin on the family farm, as the oldest of 6 children. He joined the army and served in WWII, where he met the love of his life, in England. Everett and Winifred married on April 9, 1944.

They were blessed with 2 active boys (Richard and Phillip), that helped them on their dairy farm. Later, Everett started his own construction company. After retiring, he and Winifred moved to Colorado and later to Oshkosh where they loved small town life. Everett was much involved with the Senior Center in Oshkosh, and also enjoyed helping people with their remodeling projects. There wasn’t much he couldn’t do.

Everett enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and traveling with family and friends. He always looked forward to playing cards with his son, Richard and his wife, Mary, and visits from his grandson, Douglas and his wife, Shelly with their son, Carter. He always enjoyed visiting with his many close friends from England, Canada, Wisconsin and all over the United States.

Everyone enjoyed his cheerful smiles and how he always made you feel good. Everett made many dear friends and appreciated all of the caregivers at the Veteran’s Home where he lived for the last 3 and ½ years.

He will be dearly missed by all!

Everett is survived by his wife, Winifred of Scottsbluff; son, Richard and wife, Mary Soper of Morrill, Nebraska; daughter-in-law, Becky Soper of Wisconsin; grandson, Douglas and wife, Shelly Soper of Minnesota; great-grandson, Carter Soper of Minnesota; great granddaughters Brandie and Burgandi Niesen of Minnesota, and many other nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Phillip in 1973, and 5 brothers and sisters.
