Lenhart Schobert, 88 of Sidney, Nebraska died Sunday morning, December 2, 2012 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
Graveside inurnment services will be held at 11:30 A.M., Monday, July 1, 2013 in the Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney. A reception will follow at the First United Methodist Church.
Memorials have been designated to the First United Methodist Church in Sidney.
Lenhart Benjamin Schobert, the son of Benjamin and Mildred (Elwell) Schobert was born March 24, 1924 in Omaha, Nebraska. He grew up in Springfield, Nebraska where he attended school, graduating from Springfield High School.
On August 22, 1945 he was united in marriage to Carolyn Rose Bogar in Creston, Iowa. They moved to Sidney in 1946 where Lenhart was in the auto parts business with Elwell Motors and Humphreys Auto Parts.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church for over 60 years and was a member of the Frank Welch Lodge #75 A.F. & A.M.
Survivors include two sons: David and partner Dr. Ronald Markby of Fort Myers, FL and Estes Park, CO and Roland and wife Sue of Waukee, IA; two granddaughters: Sara Sell and husband David of Las Cruces, NM and Amy Schobert of Minneapolis, MN; two great-grandsons: Jacob and Matthew Sell both of Las Cruces, NM and one brother Jack Schobert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and two brothers.
