Eugene Dolson, 75, of Oshkosh passed away Friday, January 17, 2014 at his home in Oshkosh.
Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2014, at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Oshkosh with Father Mike McDonald officiating. Services will conclude at the church.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Eugene Stroud Dolson was born on April 22, 1938 in Denver, Colorado. He was raised in Broadwater and graduated from Broadwater High. After high school he joined the Navy and served aboard the USS Midway. After leaving the service he returned to Broadwater where he worked for the Morrill County Highway Department until his retirement around 2000.
He was united in marriage to Joyce Seidler in November of 1971. To this union 2 children were born, John and Diane.
Gene enjoyed hunting and fishing. When John was young, Gene was a scout master for his troop. He served on the fire department in Broadwater and was a member of St. Dominic’s Catholic Church and the Jessie Snyder Legion Post.
Survivors include his son, John and wife, Gretchen Dolson of Lincoln; daughter, Diane Dolson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; 2 grandchildren, Leslie and Daniel Dolson; and other extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Lewis “Bud” and Mildred (Connors) Dolson.
