Michael McKee, 76, of Oshkosh passed away on Sunday morning, May 11, 2014 at the Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte.
Cremation has taken place and per his wishes, the family will be having a “celebration of life” gathering at his home in Oshkosh during Memorial Day weekend.
Memorials are suggested in Mike's name to a local charity of your choice.
Michael O’Brien Patrick McKee was born on March 2, 1938 in Crane, Missouri. He grew up in Crane and completed high school there in 1955. Upon graduation, he served his country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1958.
In 1964, he married his wife of 49 years, Bonnie. Together they had three children. Leslie McKee of Oshkosh, Monica (Derek) Brown of Salina, KS and Shawn (Bridget) McKee of Fort Collins, CO. Mike also had a son, Christopher (Rhonda) McKee, from a previous marriage.
Mike was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and Nebraska football.
Mike is survived by his wife, 4 children, eight grandchildren, Callyne, Cayson, Cooper, Delaney, Aidan, Darby, Devin, and Kaley, and 2 great-grandchildren.
