Dessie Redwine, 94, of Oshkosh, formerly of Chappell, passed away Thursday night, February 12, 2015 at the Regional West Garden County Nursing Home in Oshkosh.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no formal services at this time.
Memorials in Dessie’s name can be made to the Garden County Health Services Foundation designated to the Nursing Home.

Dessie Evelyn Redwine was born on March 9, 1920 in Chappell, Nebraska to James and Anna (Jacobs) Saddler. She attended schools in Chappell.
After high school she worked for her sister at the E&M café in Chappell. She was married to Frank Redwine and they later divorced.
She spent many years living in Lodgepole next to her sister until about ten years ago when Dessie moved into the Mesa View apartments in Oshkosh to be closer to her daughter.
She attended the United Methodist Church in Chappell for many years.
Dessie enjoyed crafting, making many dolls and felt crafts, crosswords, her daily devotions and cooking. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Dixie Dormann of Oshkosh; 2 granddaughters, Cristy Amen of Chappell and Kerri (Gary) Gortemaker of Oshkosh; 6 grandchildren, Andy (Kristie) Amen, Amy Jo Amen, Camie “Fred” (Rory) Jeppson, Melissa (Travis) Cooley, Desarae (Chris) Martin and Tye (Chelsea) Gipfert; 9 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Swanson of Sterling, Colorado; and special family friend, Danny Dahlkoetter.
Dessie was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Rhonda Dormann-Gipfert, 2 sisters, Mae and Eleanor, 2 brothers, Rusty and Gerald “Hap”, grandson-in-law, Scott Amen, and great-grandson-in-law, Trent Wilson.
