Sharrol Lee Talich Rundquist, the daughter of Ralph Argile, and Evelyn Emily (Johnson) Talich was born on February 1, 1938 in Sidney, Nebraska. She had an older brother Gale Arlyn that was two years older. She graduated high school in 1955, in Lodgepole schools.

On December 31, 1965, Sharrol married Clarence Byron Rundquist of Chappell, Ne at the United Methodist Church parsonage in Lodgepole. They had two children, Scott Marshall and Sharlemayne Jorae. She also helped raise her three step children: Bruce, Regina, and James.

Sharrol has always been very active in her church, the United Methodist Church in Lodgepole, starting to play piano for services when she was 13 and helping with the youth activities. She was asked to play for a couple weeks until they found someone. She taught herself how to play the organ shortly after this, and was the organist for this church until October 13, 2011. Her health forced her to stop playing, but her heart and soul were always with the church. She played for many weddings and funerals in the area as well. She worked for Dr. Newcomb in Chappell at the dentist office. Very proud she helped him make the first set of dentures they made in his Chappell Office. She held down many jobs throughout her years, some including the Sidney Hospital as an aide, for Dr. George Taylor, Cheyenne County Courthouse, City Secretary for the bowling leagues, Smith and Wertz Law office as their secretary for many years. She also helped out the Holechek Funeral Home throughout the years. She belonged to many bowling leagues and was a very avid bowler. She was forced to quit bowling in 1988 due to a back surgery, a very sad day in her life. Bowling was her passion. In 1985, she started working in the Deuel County Assessor’s office in Chappell. After just being a helper in their office, she took the Deputy Assessors test and passed. She then became Deputy County Assessor and held that position until she was forced to retired in December 2002. Some in the area will remember her from waitressing and bartending, as well as being an avon lady for many years after the loss of Scott.

Sharrol is survived by her daughter Sharlemayne Jorae Rundquist Dexter of Oshkosh, Ne.
