Donna Mae Johnson, 76 of Potter, Nebraska died Saturday afternoon, July 18, 2015 at Sidney Regional Medical Center, Extended Care in Sidney.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, July 27, 2015 in the Prairie West ELCA/UMC Church in Potter with Pastor Betsy Galloway-Carew officiating. Burial will follow in the Potter Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the Holechek Funeral Home in Sidney.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sidney Regional Medical Center Hospice or the donor’s choice.

Donna Mae Johnson was born July 27, 1938 in Omaha, Nebraska to Marvin “Mac” and Doris (Gillispe) Moench. The family moved to Potter where she grew up and attended school, graduating from Potter High School.

In 1954 she was married to Elwood Junior Harms in Sidney, Nebraska. Together they had four children, who she was a loving mother to. They were happily married for 25 years. Donna was a member of Blue Bird Den Mothers, Cub Scout Den Mothers and Boy Scout Den Mothers. She was involved with her children’s school and sports activities. While married to Elwood, She helped build and run the family restaurant, Osage Café in Dix, Nebraska. Her next occupation was working at the local elevator and at Kimball Ford Motors in Kimball, Nebraska.

Donna was later married to John “Jack” Johnson in 1982 in Kimball, Nebraska. Together they enjoyed farming and collecting antique toys. Jack and Donna started the Parkinson Support Group in Scottsbluff, Nebraska and surrounding areas.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

Donna leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her spouse Jack Johnson of Scottsbluff, NE; her children: Candi Dudney, Ronald (Cheryl) Harms, Lori (Craig) Maas and Randy Harms all of Potter, NE; her brother Donald (Patty) Moench of Potter, NE; 9 Grandchildren and 5 Great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Judy Alexander, her first husband and a grandson Christopher Maas.
