Robert Eldon Newell

Robert “Bobby” Eldon Newell, 81, of Earlsboro, OK passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Colonial Estates Nursing Home in Shawnee, OK.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Oshkosh City Cemetery with Pastor Jen Brand officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Holechek Funeral Home in Oshkosh on Tuesday, November 17, 2015.
Holechek Funeral Home and Cremations in Oshkosh is serving the Newell family.
Robert was born in Oshkosh, Nebraska on March 5, 1934 to Orvie and Dorothy Larington Newell. He graduated from Garden County High School in 1952.
Robert was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1956 and was honorably discharged June 25th, 1958.
Robert married Barbara Sue Weible on January 30, 1963. Two sons were born to this marriage, Todd Robert and David Lee. Robert and Barbara later divorced.
Robert ranched north of Oshkosh, NE for more than 20 years. He later moved to Medicine Lodge, KS where he continued to ranch. In 2012, Robert moved to Earlsboro, OK to be near his son David.
Robert is survived by his two sons, Todd of Amarillo, TX and David (Christy) of Shawnee, OK, sisters June Mikoloyck of Oshkosh, Alice Lee (Bill) Patterson of Oshkosh and Dee Anna (Gene) Schmid of Oshkosh, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
