William G. Rigney, 63, of Lewellen passed away Monday morning, September 11, 2017 at his home.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Community Wesleyan Church in Lewellen with Pastor Mike Ketchens officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
William Gerald Rigney was born on June 4, 1954 in St. Louis, Missouri to William E. and Shirley J. (Seibecker) Rigney. When he was 7 the family moved to Denver where he attended school. After leaving school he began a 20-year long career with Gates Rubber in Denver where he worked as a mill operator.
On June 4, 1983, he was united in marriage to Terri Ann Leach in Denver. To this union 3 children were born.
Bill and Terri moved to Lewellen in 1995 to be closer to Terri’s family and have resided in the community since.
Bill loved Broncos football, fishing, camping, motorcycles, dogs, drive-in movies, and cooking and baking to feed his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Terri of Lewellen, mother, Shirley of Denver, sons, Zach Kittrell of Brighton, CO and Randy Rigney of Lewellen, daughter, Jamie and husband, Dan Butler of Enid, OK, 2 granddaughters, Mariah and Trinity Kittrell, sisters, Kay Hamilton of Broomfield, CO, Cheryl Allemand of Portland, OR and Susie Vikse of Lakewood, CO, and many, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father on September 12, 2014 and his brother, Robert Rigney in 2009.
