Cheryl Ladine, 54 of Sidney, Nebraska died early Thursday morning, November 4, 2010 at the Memorial Health Center in Sidney after a long battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 8, 2010 in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Jim Gerhold of the Christian Life Center and Pastor Pete Morgan officiating. Services will conclude at the church with cremation to follow. Inurnment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials have been established to the family.

Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Sunday at the Holechek Funeral Home in Sidney.

Cheryl Jo Ladine, the daughter of Dale and Dorothy (Grandt) Schoonover was born October 1, 1956 at Sidney, Nebraska. She grew up in Sidney where she attended school, graduating from Sidney High School in 1975. She then attended cosmetology school. She was a manager for Pizza Hut in Sidney, Sturgis, SD and Gordon, NE before moving back to Sidney where she worked in customer relations at Cabelas until the time of her death.

On March 17, 2007 she was united in marriage to Bob Ladine in Sidney, where they made their home.

She was a huge sports fan, especially Husker football, the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies. She enjoyed playing Bingo and loved to go golfing to clear her head and forget about the battles of life.

Cheryl loved her children and grandchildren very much and worked tirelessly to provide the life they needed. She was a wonderful person who had a strong faith and enjoyed all her friends from Cabelas and her church and deeply appreciated all their support.

Survivors include her husband Bob Ladine of Sidney, NE; her children: William Leach and fiancé Victoria Petersen, Cody Leach and Krista Leach-Ferris and husband Garth all of Sidney, NE and Richard Leach and wife Alys of Douglas, WY; her parents Dale and Dorothy Schoonover of Sidney, NE; one brother Mark Schoonover of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; one sister Sheila Dolan and husband Rod of Sidney, NE and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and aunts, uncles and cousins.
