Vivian "Vi" Camden

Vivian “Vi” Camden, 66, of Lewellen, died Sunday, November 7, 2010, at her home in Lewellen.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, November 14, 2010, at the Community Wesleyan Church in Lewellen with Pastor Maynard McCarthy officiating. Interment will follow in Ash Creek Cemetery north of Lewellen.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Holechek Funeral Home in Oshkosh.

A memorial has been established in Vi’s name.

Vi was born on February 21, 1944, at Robbinsville, North Carolina to Walter R. and Dorothy L. (Smith) Jump. She lived in North Carolina before moving to Bonanza, Colorado where she received her education.

Vi met Jack Sunny Camden in Colorado and they were united in marriage on August 7, 1970 at Salida, CO. They farmed and ranched throughout Colorado and Utah before retiring to Lewellen in June 1985.

Vi worked at Vic’s Supper Club in Lewellen and Marshalltown in Oshkosh before becoming a medication aide at the Lewellen Nursing Home and later the Riverview Assisted Living until recently.

Vi loved to read, enjoyed her dogs and bird but especially loved bowling. Her favorite time of year was Christmas and loved celebrating the holiday.

She is survived by her children, Jack and wife Jolie Camden of Scottsbluff, Carol MacIntosh and Tater Johnson of Lewellen, Phillip Camden of Wichita, KS, Stan and wife Sheryl McClatchy of Ashgrove, MO; grandchildren, Matthew and Kathrine MacIntosh, Kendra Johnson, Soren, Elli and Kayden Singpiel, Jackson and Jordie McClatchy; brother, Rex and wife Donna Jump of Arkansas; sisters, Viola and husband Ken Paxton of Las Vegas, NV, Beulah and husband Lawrence Nixs of Canyon City, CO, and Mollie Holcombe of Lewellen; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack in 2008; her parents; grandson, Tyrell Johnson; sister, Norma Kimball; and brothers, David, Hack and Edward Jump.
