Jerry Lynn Kemerling was born December 2, 1942 in Oshkosh, Nebraska, the son of Ray and Esther (Botker) Kemerling. Jerry grew up on the family homestead north of Oshkosh attending Lost Creek School.

At the age of two, Jerry contracted polio which caused many health problems over the years. He always loved people and never met a stranger, but was the happiest when he was surrounded by his family. He also loved going places; it didn't matter where, just as long as he got to go. He went elk hunting in the mountains of Wyoming with his brothers on numerous occasions and always lived for the next trip. He was an avid fisherman and went daily with his Dad and anyone else that would take him.

Once his mother passed away, he went to live with his sister Arlene and was a great help to her when her health started to fail. Since moving to Wyoming with his sister, niece and her family, he started going to the Senior Center's Day Care, Monday through Friday where he met lots of loving people and thoroughly enjoyed every day. He especially enjoyed playing Bingo on Fridays and always brought home some little prize. Occasionally he would go to some dance, pumpkin patch, field trip to the mountains and Jackalope Days.

Jerry attended the Assembly of God Church with his family and hated to miss a Sunday. He also enjoyed the bible studies that were held at the Senior Center and would ask anyone he met if they would like to attend with him.

Survivors include brothers, Bill (Neva) Kemerling and George Kemerling of Gillette, WY; sisters, Rena Heath of Douglas, WY and Flossie (Steve) Brock of Sturgis, SD and many nieces and nephews including numerous great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; one brother; and one niece.
