Ambra Marshall, 56, of Oshkosh passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019 as the result of a motor vehicle accident near Ogallala.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the Oshkosh United Methodist Church with Pastor Janie Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. CST.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home with the family present.
Memorials in Ambra’s name can be made to the Purple Pride Booster Club.
Ambra May Marshall was born on January 29, 1963 to Buzz and Dixie (Renker) Jorges. She was later joined by sisters, Stephanie and Melissa and younger brother, Dean.
Ambra graduated from Cody-Kilgore High School in 1979. In 1980 she married Pete Marshall. The couple lived in Gordon, Nebraska where they were joined by daughter, Micki in 1979 and Jodi in 1982. Her daughter Jacei Spangler was born in 2004.
Ambra lived in many towns and knew many people. She loved the small town life and sandhills. She never knew a stranger and would tell anyone who would listen about her kids and grandkids. For the last few years she lived in Oshkosh close to Micki and her family.
She worked many jobs over the years including, director of the Senior Center in Kearney for several years, secretary for NPPD in North Platte, stay at home mom, remodeling houses.
She loved gardening, flowers, canoeing, camping, and baking sweets. She loved to decorate for Christmas and making all of the cookies and candies she could. Her greatest joy was her family. She will always be “the best mom and grandma ever”.
Ambra is survived by daughters, Micki (Reed) Kramer of Oshkosh, Jodi Marshall of Kearney and Jacei Spangler of Arthur; grandchildren, Kealy (Trevar) Kociemba, Kayden, Kamry, and Kyan Kramer and Mia Gifford; sisters, Stephanie Hackbart and Melissa and Tom Martin all of Elwood; brother, Dean (Trista) Jorges of North Carolina; mother, Dixie Renker of Elwood; stepfather, Gary Holly of Sidney; aunt, Katie Woodhead of Florida; special friends, Bill Arnett and Scott Hackbart; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Buzz Jorges and her grandparents.
