Bernard "Bernie" Benzen

Bernard Benzen, 93, of Oshkosh, passed away early Saturday morning, February 5, 2022, at the Regional West Garden County Nursing Home in Oshkosh.

Private Burial was held in the Antelope Valley Cemetery.  A public celebration of life will be held at a later date. 

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Memorials in Bernard’s name can be made to the family for later designation.

Bernard Burl Benzen was born August 25, 1928, to Godfrey and Evalena (Goodro) Benzen at Sheridan Lake, Colorado.  He went to school at Lewellen and Oshkosh, moving to Idaho in 1942.  He worked in sawmills in Idaho and Oregon until retirement.

He was wed to Laura Parks in 1947, she passed in 1981.  He later wed her sister, Alda who passed away in 1994.

Bernard is survived by two children, Linda Barney and Terry Benzen; close nephew, Arvid Benzen; and other family members and friends.
