Camey Wiegand, 55 of Chappell, Nebraska died Tuesday evening, April 24, 2018 at Sidney Regional Medical Center, Extended Care.
Cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held. Inurnment will be in the Chappell Cemetery at a later date.
Camey was born May 7, 1962 in Chappell, the daughter of Delmer and Carol (Edens) Wiegand. She grew up in Chappell where she attended school and graduated from Deuel County High School in 1980. She had one daughter, Rebecca. Her early family life was playing with family and friends. Her hobbies included reading, doing word search puzzles, knitting, doing cross stitch, making jewelry, gadgets and anything mechanical, and watching westerns on television. She enjoyed going on family vacations, with 4 wheelers (Razors), taking pictures and having grandchildren around. She worked for the Chappell Register for 18 years, doing ads was her favorite, typing and most anything to do with the paper. She also sold Avon for 18 years making many friends among her customers.
She went on many vacations with her brother going along the west coast to many areas as well as the east coast with her brother and daughter. They visited many civil war battlefields and down south for civil war battlements and southern plantations from olden days. She also went to Canada several times for family reunions.
Survivors include her parents Delmer and Carol Wiegand of Chappell, NE; her daughter Rebecca and husband William Lohman of Grand Junction, CO; her brother Darin Wiegand of Sheldon, IA; her five grandchildren: Dustinee, Kellie, Shairie, Angela and Dylan and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
