Casey James Marion “CJ” Fox, 13, of Chappell passed away Sunday, August 23, 2020 in Chappell.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the Creek Valley High School Football Field. 

We sincerely encourage each person to make your decision whether to attend based on the best interest of your health and that of your community.  Face coverings or masks are requested.

There will be no visitation.

Casey James “CJ” Marion Fox, would have been 14 years old on October 24th. He was born in Kearney, NE in 2006. CJ started  school at Julesburg Elementary in Julesburg, CO and spent the last two years attending Creek Valley Schools in Chappell, NE.

CJ slipped and fell from the top of a grain elevator on August 23rd of 2020 while climbing down after watching a beautiful sunset.

CJ was curious, adventurous, and unafraid. He lived life in the moment and to its fullest, while continually seeking out new experiences, be it from the people he met or the places he ventured to.

CJ  loved practicing and playing football with his Jr High Storm teammates, as well as being a student manager for, and learning from the high school players and coaches  at Creek Valley that he so admired.

CJ joins his first friend and Grandma, Helen Perry(Russell) in heaven while being survived by his siblings Litzy, Cage, Russell, Olivia and Kaytlyne, his parents, Sam & Josh Carlson and Shane & Kim Fox. He is survived, as well, by his great grandparents DeLee and Bev Carlson, his grandparents Geralyn Konruff, Raymond Fox, JimmRay and Cora Fox, and Jerry and LeAnne Forbis; and many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, classmates and teachers.
