Franklin "Frank" Robinson

August 27, 1917 — February 18, 2018

Franklin "Frank" Robinson, 100 years 5 months and 22 days, of Oshkosh passed away Sunday evening, February 18, 2018 at the Regional West Garden County Nursing Home in Oshkosh.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 26, 2018 at the Oshkosh United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeniffer Brand officiating.  Burial of the ashes will follow in the Ash Hollow Cemetery near Lewellen.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.

Memorials in Frank's name may be made to the Oshkosh Lion's Club or to the Oshkosh United Methodist Church.

Franklin Orlando Robinson was born to James Elwin and Pearl Adeline (Robertson) Robinson on August 27, 1917 at Primrose, Nebraska.  He was the third of five children to James and Pearl.

At the age of 3 he moved to Oshkosh with his family.  When he was 17 he took over the family farm following the death of his father.  He continued to farm until he retired in 1984.  In 1994, he sold the farm and moved into Oshkosh.

He attended school through the 8th grade at Lutherville School District #8.

On January 8, 1967 he married Eileen Smith Masters.  They enjoyed 36 years of marriage before Eileen’s death on December 5, 2003.

He was a member of the Oshkosh United Methodist Church and the Lewellen Lion’s Club.  He served on the Garden County Fair Board and Soil Conservation Committee.

He was greatly loved, and will be missed by his step-children, step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his step daughters, Phyllis (Terry) Gillett, Lynne Martinez, and Judy (Morrie) Palmer; 4 step-grandchildren, Shelly, Kim, Somi, and Tim; 9 step-great grandchildren, Rachel, Bethany, Katie, Caleb, Faith, Haylie, Zach, Mia, and Emma; 3 step-great-great grandchildren, Brodie, Lilly, and Quin, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen, his parents, brothers, Woodrow, Herschel and Donald; sister, Ruth Miller, step son-in-law, Rich Martinez, step grandchildren, Kelly, Jill, Jodi, Ricky and Greg.
