Ila Jean Taylor, 88, of Sidney, formerly of Lodgepole, passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 9, 2022 at the Sidney Regional Medical Center- Extended Care.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home in Oshkosh with Pastor Scotty Ray officiating. Burial will follow in the Oshkosh City Cemetery.
Services will be streamed live and available to watch after the service on the Holechek-Bondegard Facebook page (www.facebook.com/hbfunerals).
There will be no public visitation and the casket will be closed.

Ila Jean was born June 17, 1933, to Marion and Elsie (Shindle) Shaw north of Oshkosh. She grew up in the Garden County and Broadwater areas and attended school there.
On July 29, 1951, Ila Jean and L. Roy Taylor were united in marriage at Kearney, NE. Seven children were born to this union. They moved around the area before settling in Lodgepole where Ila worked at the grocery store and the Coffee Cup. She also worked at the Cabela’s Warehouse for a time.
Ila Jean will be remembered for her beautiful lawn and garden. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, and company, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved dogs, most of all, her yellow lab, Ginger.
Survivors include her children: Jack Taylor and wife Debra of Lodgepole, Ron Taylor and wife Jannie of Silver Lake, KS, Christy Bauer and life partner, Jay Hursh of Chappell, Terri Taylor of Sidney and Randy Taylor and wife Linda of North Platte; 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 3 sisters: Donna Bennett of Gillette, Wyoming, Dorothy Bennett of Sidney, and Helen Lipska of North Platte; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2008; daughter, Sandy Taylor; son Dale; and 5 siblings.
