Jeanette was born in St. Francis, Kansas, on December 12, 1955, to Herbert and Betty (Tucker) Rose. She was welcomed by older sister Linda (Gilliland) and older brother Jerry, and later they would go on to welcome one more brother, Marvin. Jeanette and her family resided in Kansas and Denver, CO, before moving to Oshkosh, NE, in 1970. Herb and Shirley Brewer married, and Shirley quickly became a second mother and close confidant to Jeanette.
One day in high school, Jeanette walked into the school gym. There was a male student who stood up in the bleachers and said, “I will date that girl someday”. That would become an important day in her life, the day she met Patrick John Kennedy. Little did they both know; this would turn into a lifelong friendship and love! Pat and Jeanette graduated from Garden County High School in 1973 and married in 1976. They completed their family with 3 rowdy boys, Christopher Michael, Jamie Lynn, and David Patrick.
Jeanette has worked at the hospital in Oshkosh for the last 19 years. She was an avid love story reader, Nebraska Cornhusker fan, and lived for her children and grandchildren and enjoyed watching all their sporting events. She had a heart of gold and never knew a stranger. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jeanette leaves behind her sons Jamie and wife Chelsey (Bolton) Kennedy and children Olivia and Connor of Grand Island, NE, and David Kennedy and Traci Bossert and children Bryce, Whitney, and Halsey of North Platte, NE, and daughter-in-law Jennifer (Younger) Kennedy and son Caleb of Omaha, NE; 2 brothers Jerry Rose and Marvin Rose; and multiple nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Jeanette joins her parents, Herbert and Shirley Rose and Betty (Tucker) Rose, sister Linda (Rose) Gilliland, husband Pat, and son Chris on her journey to her everlasting life.
