Jimmie J. "Jim" Erb, 63, of Oshkosh passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, June 3, 2020 at the Regional West Garden County Hospital in Oshkosh.
Memorial Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2020 at the Oshkosh City Cemetery with Brenda Tophoj, PMA officiating.
Memorials in Jim's name can be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home and Cremations in Oshkosh is serving the Erb family.
Jim was born on April 15, 1957 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Robert and Estella “June” (Dillon) Erb. Jim went to school in Oshkosh and Lisco. He graduated from Garden County High School in 1975. Jim went to college in Sidney and graduated with a welding degree.
Over the years Jim worked in many different lines of work, such as railroad, Coldwater fish farm, Lockwood Corp., farming and construction. For the last 7 years Jim worked for Moe’s Heating and Air Conditioning. Jim and Moe were always building something from the ground up or gutting homes and rebuilding.
In 1989, Jim met his wife Cindy Schneider. They married on April 20, 1991. To this union, Jim brought his daughter, Brandy, Cindy brought her daughter, Nicole, and one son, Nathan Thomas was born. Jim Loved to hunt, fish, watch NASCAR and football. He enjoyed taking people fishing, especially his son and his uncle Art.
Jim is survived by his wife, Cindy Erb; son, Nathan Erb of Oshkosh; daughters, Nicole (Seth) Godbey of Brule and Brandy (Troy) Isenbart of Chappell; brother, Roland (Brenda) Erb of Gothenburg; sisters-in-law, Dawn Erb of Lodgepole and Sherry Byrne of Mechaniscsburg, PA; brothers-in-law, Brian (Gina Powell) Schneider of Mitchell, Bruce (Debra) Schneider of Mitchell; uncles, Art (Marilyn) Erb of Oshkosh, and Joe Dillon of Buffalo, MO; grandchildren, Chase, Haleigh, Hunter, Nitrous, Bentley, Edelbrock, Savanah, Domonic, and Shelby; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Estella “June” Erb, brother, Charles “Chuck” Erb, grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
