Karen Vonnae Southard

Vonnae Southard, 74 of Brush, Colorado and a former Big Springs resident died Monday afternoon, April 23, 2018 in the Tru Hospice in Greeley, Colorado.

            A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 28, 2018 in the Holechek Funeral Home in Chappell, Nebraska with Pastor Kevin Jacobs of the Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Brule Cemetery.

            There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

            Karen Vonnae Southard, the daughter of Allen and Katherine (Hein) Southard was born May 3, 1943 at Lewellen, Nebraska. She grew up in Big Springs where she attended the Big Springs schools. Vonnae resided in many different places before moving to Colorado in 2011 where she lived in Longmont before moving to Brush where she was living at the time of her death.

            Survivors include two daughters: Angela and husband Scott Wade of Lamoni, IA and Marcie Deleplanque of Longmont, CO; three sons: Greg and wife Linda Bruns of Scottsdale, AZ, and Matthew and James Deleplanque both of Dacona, CO; one sister Marietta and husband Marvin Remington of Longmont, CO; 9 Grandchildren and 4 Great-grandchildren.

            She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother.

            Holechek Funeral Home and Cremations in Chappell is serving the Southard family.
