Marlene Chadwick, 86, of Oshkosh passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, November 5, 2024, at the Great Plains Hospital in North Platte surrounded by her family.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am Monday, November 11, 2024, at the Oshkosh Wesleyan Church with Pastor Lynn Lutz officiating. Burial will follow in Ash Hollow Cemetery near Lewellen.
Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home in Oshkosh.
Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home and Cremations in Oshkosh is serving the Chadwick family.

Iva Marlene Chadwick was born on March 6th, 1938, to Ivan James and Lula May (Baker) Hicks in Genoa, Co.
Marlene grew up on a farm in Eastern Colorado and enjoyed riding her horse Snip. She met the Love of her life Lowell Joy Chadwick, when he came to work on a family farm. After Lowell joined the Navy, they were united in marriage on Dec. 18th, 1955, and started their new life in Long Beach, CA. They Moved to Denver, CO in 1957. They had 4 children, Debbie, Tamie, Joy, and Rodney.
In Denver, Marlene went to college to be a daycare provider and was a home daycare provider for over 20 years. In 1978 they moved to Oshkosh, NE where she continued to home daycare for a few years. She also delivered dry cleaning, worked in the hospital kitchen, at the elementary school and Cabela's in Oshkosh over the years. She then retired and traveled with Lowell and her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
She lived in Oshkosh for 45 years and spent the last 7 months living with her daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Kevin Kugler in Elsie, Ne until she was reunited with her true love Lowell.
Marlene loved to travel with her family. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were so precious to her. Marlene was the prayer warrior of the family and very involved in the Oshkosh Wesleyan Church. One of her missions in life was to ensure her family was saved.
Marlene and Lowell went all over the States with their kids, grandkids and great grandkids. They went to family reunions, USS Bell Grove reunions, Rapid City, and much much more. Marlene collected Salt-n-Pepper shakers and picked one up everywhere we went. She was an avid picture taker and was a member of the Flat Top Camera Club for years and referred to as one of the 3 paparazzi sisters along with her sisters Wilda and Leota.
Marlene Loved to support all of her kids, grandkids and great grandkids school functions. Her family was her greatest pride and joy.
Marlene leaves behind her daughters, Tamie (Rick) Steiner Brookings OR, Joy Nadene (Kevin) Kugler Elsie NE, Rodney (Angela) Chadwick La Bell FL, Sisters, Wilda Bartlet Anton CO, Leota Huff Commerce City CO, Very Special Cousin Buni Riemenschneider, 10 grandkids, Dedra (Darrell) Wyatt, Amber (Sergio) Perez, Neal (Brittany) Kugler, Dustin (Chelsea) Kugler, Jared (Kristina) Steiner, Sara (Jacob) Feldkamp, Tiffany Hoaglund, Chris Hoaglund, Mark Noel, Bobby Kugler, Lilly ( Matthew) Chadwick, 15 great grandkids, several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Marlene is preceded in death by her husband Lowell J. Chadwick, daughter Debbie Noel, her parents Ivan and Lula Chadwick, brothers Ivan, Delbert, Melvin and Horace.
