Patricia "Pat" Berglund

Patrica "Pat" Berglund, 70, of Holdrege, formerly of Lewellen passed away early Sunday morning, February 23, 2025 at the Phelps Memorial Hospital in Holdrege, Nebraska.

A memorial gathering will be held on April 19, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lewellen Tiger Den, located at 504 W Hwy 26 in Lewellen, Nebraska. A private graveside service will take place at Ash Creek Cemetery earlier that morning. The family invites those who knew Pat to join them in sharing memories during the gathering. Light refreshments will be provided.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lewellen Tiger Den.

Patricia “Pat” Waunetta (Wolford) Berglund was born in Lewellen, Nebraska on February 1, 1955, to Morris H. and Avis W. (Yetter) Wolford. Pat lived most of her life in Lewellen, and she graduated from Lewellen Rural High School in 1973. On June 10, 1973, Pat married James “Jim” C. Berglund, Jim and Pat made their home in Lewellen where they resided together until Jim passed away in March 2008. After her children graduated from high school, Pat earned an associate’s degree in business from Mid Plaines Community College and worked for many years in the County Clerk’s office at the Garden County Court House, retiring in July 2023. In January 2024, Pat moved to Christian Homes Nursing Home in Holdrege, Nebraska. On February 23, 2025, Pat departed this world at Phelps Memorial Health Center.

Pat devoted her life to her friends and family, and in addition to being a wife and mother, she cherished her role of “Grandma Pat” to Paige and Blake Berglund, “Ma” to Connor and Levi Berglund, and “adopted grandmother” to Reid and Jenason Spady. She will be deeply missed by: her children, Heather W. Berglund (Mike) of Westminster, Colorado; John A. Berglund (Doreen) and children of Grand Island, Nebraska and Christopher J. Berglund (Jackie) and children of Hershey, Nebraska; her sisters-in-law, Joy Foster, Jacki (Rod) McConkey and Jeanette Walter; her siblings, Doug (Teresa) Wolford, Anita (Kim) Strasburg, Delores (Tom) Ward, and Doris Hill; special family friends, Jason and Candy Spady and children and Tina Delatour Hunzeker and family. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. 

Pat has been reunited with husband, James “Jim” Berglund, parents Morris and Avis Wolford, sister Joyce Wolford and parents-in-law, Gilbert and Doris Berglund.
