Phyllis Mikoloyck, 83 of Oshkosh, Nebraska died early Sunday morning, February 13, 2022 at the Great Plains Medical Center in North Platte, Nebraska.
A Rosary Service will be held in the St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Oshkosh at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 16, 2022 with Mass of Christian Burial to follow with Deacon Dixon Powers officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Cemetery.
Services will be streamed live and available to watch after the service on the Holechek-Bondegard Facebook page (www.facebook.com/hbfunerals).
Visitation will be held one hour before the services.

Phyllis Louise Mikoloyck, the daughter of Everett and Opal (Parker) Orton was born October 4, 1938 in Hamburg, Iowa. She attended school in Sidney, Iowa where she graduated from high school. She attended Peru State College and graduated in 1958 with her teaching certificate. She moved to Oshkosh to teach in 1958. It was here she met Donald Mikoloyck and went on their first date to a football game in Kimball. On June 3, 1959 they were married in Hamburg, Iowa. To this union three children were born; Ron, Steve and JoAnn. She put a hold on her teaching to raise her children and help on the farm.
Phyllis was very active in the community and her church. She was a 4-H leader, CCD teacher, president of the Alter Society, a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, served as the activity director at the nursing home, enjoyed playing cards and substitute taught for over 20 years.
She was baker and quilt maker and sold her baked goods and quilts. All of her children and grandchildren got lovingly made quilts. She truly was a multi talented homemaker for her family.
Survivors include two sons: Ron (Ana) Mikoloyck or North Platte, NE and Steve Mikoloyck of David City, NE; one daughter Joann (Doug) Farran of David City, NE; one brother, Laverne (Charlotte) Orton of Sabetha, KS; five grandchildren: Courtney Pattinson of Las Vegas, NV, Sean Paul and Jewel grace in the Philippines, Eric (Mariah) Prochaska of Lincoln, ne and Devin (Bailey) Prochaska of Seward, NE; and two great grandchildren: Xavier and Xylia Pattinson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister and brother-law, Donna and Loren miller and a nephew, Lance Orton.
