Robert "Bob" Harms, Sr.

Robert "Bob" W. Harms, Sr., 83, of Chappell passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 17, 2020 at the Sidney Regional Medical Center in Sidney.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date.

Bob was born July 23rd, 1936 in Dalton Nebraska to William Harms and Amelia Abendroth Harms.  He graduated from Dalton High School in 1954.  Bob farmed his family farm until 1983, when he moved to Sidney.  After moving to Sidney, Bob drove truck for Tremain's Trucking.  Bob also ran the bar in Lodgepole for a short time.  He then drove truck for Bert Schmolt until he bought his own truck in 1991 and went into business as Harms and Sons where he worked until he retired in 2010.

Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors.

He is survived by his sons, Robert Harms Jr. and Randy Harms, 5 grandchildren: Jeremy Harms (Candace), Brandon Harms (Nikki), Cody Harms (Jodi), Colby Harms, and Samantha Schaffer (Jarod) and 3 great grandchildren, Kordell Lovitt, Delilah Schaffer, and Penelope Schaffer.

Bob is proceeded in death by his parents, William Harms and Amelia Abendroth Harms.
