Rosanna Nass, 91, of Ogallala and formerly of Chappell, passed away Sunday evening, January 10, 2021 at the Ogallala Community Hospital.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Assembly of God Church in Chappell with Pastor Richard Graeff officiating. Burial in the Chappell cemetery will be private. Masks are strongly recommended.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home and Cremations in Chappell is serving the Nass family.
Memorials in Rosanna’s name can be made to the family for later designation.
Rosanna was born January 18, 1929 in Oshkosh, Nebraska to Jesse and Fern (Atkinson) Cooper. She attended school in Oshkosh and graduated from Garden County High School in 1947.
On August 24, 1947 she was united in marriage to Laurence Nass in Oshkosh. The couple made their home near Chappell where they welcomed 2 daughters, Rebecca and Paula.
Rosanna worked various jobs in Chappell including at the high school in the cafeteria and principal’s office.
As a young bride she enjoyed her chickens and ducks and in her later years she enjoyed crocheting, traveling, playing cards and eating in new restaurants. She was actively involved in numerous church groups and activities and was a member of the Chappell Assembly of God Church for many years.
In 2015 she left Chappell for Wellife in Ogallala to be closer to her daughter.
Rosanna is survived by her 2 daughters, Becky Keenan of Pueblo, Colorado and Paula (Dick) Markussen of Ogallala; 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Cooper of Manhattan, Kansas; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1983; and 7 siblings.
