Sharon Paulsen

December 12, 1939 — February 15, 2020

Sharon Paulsen, 80, of Oshkosh passed away Saturday morning, February 15, 2020 at her home.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 22, 2020 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Oshkosh with Brenda Tophoj, PMA officiating.      

Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home and Cremations in Oshkosh is serving the Paulsen family.

Memorials can be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.

Sharon K. Paulsen was born at her parents’ home in Oshkosh on December 12, 1939. She was the 10th child of John C and June (Jensen) Zorn. She received her education in Oshkosh and graduated from Garden County High School.

Sharon married Rod Paulsen on April 3, 1958 and they lived on a farm south of Oshkosh. They were parents of three children, Kelly, Chris, and Bud.

Rod Paulsen died in 1986.

Sharon was a lifelong member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and served the Tri-County Parish for many years.  Her sole purpose in life was to honor and preach Jesus’ word, to raise her family, and to serve those around her.

Survivors include: children, Kelly (Rick) Reece, Rodney Chris (Danelle) Paulsen, Buddy Paulsen and godchild, Victoria (Rich) Simmons; grandchildren: Christopher (Kathryn), Amanda, Jess (Brittney), Jim (Tessa), Melissa (Kacey), and Katherine (Derik); great grandchildren: Jayla, Aubree, McKenzi, Jaxson, Elsie, Kayson, Reece, Ruby, Kohen and Maggie; brother-in-law, Doug Paulsen; sister-in-laws: Geraldine Zorn and Barbara Zorn; and several nieces and nephews.

   Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; five brothers, Glen (Rosie), Stanley (Mary Lou), Jack, Bud, and Bill; five sisters, Laurine (Punchy), Jean and Mary (killed in tornado in 1938), Carol (Victor), Donna (George); two nieces, Linda Murrell and Sheryl Wilkinson; nephew, Kenneth Boone; and great-grandson Jep Paulsen.
