Stanley Adams, 66, of Oshkosh passed away early Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Great Plains Health in North Platte.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Community Wesleyan Church in Lewellen with Pastor Mike Ketchens officiating. Burial will follow in the Antelope Valley Cemetery north of Oshkosh.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.
Memorials in Stanley’s name may be made to the family to help defray funeral costs.
Holechek Funeral Home and Cremations in Oshkosh is serving the Adams family.
Stanley Leon Adams was born September 9, 1951 in Oshkosh, NE to Winford Vero and LaVerna Ruth (Hutson) Adams. He grew up in Oshkosh and attended school there. He graduated from Garden County High in 1970. He attended one year at Oklahoma Wesleyan College in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Stanley lived in Colorado Springs and Dallas, Texas working many jobs including PepsiCo, a moving and storage company, a liquor store, and a steel mill factory.
He returned to Oshkosh to take care of his mother when her health began to fail. He worked at many places around Oshkosh. He did some yardwork, worked at the feedlot and dog farm.
Stanley enjoyed his yard, bowling, playing pool, visiting with friends at the Eagle’s Club. He was proud of his cars and his football team, The Cowboys.
Stanley is survived by his brother, Kevin Adams and dog, Raspberry of Oshkosh; sisters, Donna (Randy) Wolvington of Chadron, and Melodie Adams and dog, Ginger of Scottsbluff; 3 nephews, Patrick, Rob and Mike Wolvington; 2 great-nephews, Rylee and Luke Wolvington; aunts, Roene Hutson and Zella Rathbun; special friends, Mike White, Cindy Jessen, and Steve Olson; and a host of cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and uncles.
