Teresa Russell, 71, of Oshkosh passed away on Friday, November 29, 2019 in Minnesota.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the Oshkosh Community Wesleyan Church with Pastor Bruce Neal officiating. Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. CST in the Morning View Cemetery at Wallace, Nebraska.
Visitation will be held Friday afternoon from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Holechek Bondegard Funeral Home in Oshkosh.

Teresa was born in 1948 in Lewellen, NE to Melvin and Bonnie (McCormick) Kechley. She grew up on the family farm. She graduated from Lewellen High School.
Teresa married Leonard Russell on December 31, 1967. To this union 2 daughters were born. They raised their family in the Denver area often returning to her parents’ farm during harvest to help out.
Prior to returning to Oshkosh in 2018, they lived in Steamboat Springs, CO and worked as shuttle drivers for several years. Teresa and Len also had many adventures in their 5th wheel travelling to California to manage a Christmas Tree and pumpkin farm and they worked as gatekeepers in oil fields of Texas. She loved working as a para for the schools in Oshkosh. Anywhere that Teresa lived she quickly made friends and became part of the community. She was everyone’s “Momma.”
Teresa will be fondly remembered for her cooking, her infectious smile and her generous spirit.
Teresa was a member of the Oshkosh Community Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard of Oshkosh; daughters, Nicole (Russell) Piret of Steamboat Springs, CO and Melissa (Russell) Mayo of Janesville, MN. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren Alex Mayo, Ella and Gracie Piret; 2 sisters, Coleen Ring of Bridgeport, and LaRee and husband, Randy Gompert of Bayard; brothers and sisters-in laws: and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents.
