Jeanette Geller Pritts, 78 of Guide Rock, Nebraska and formerly of Dalton died late Thursday evening, January 10, 2013 at the Blue Hill Care Center in Blue Hill, Nebraska.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in the United Church of the Plains, Presbyterian site in Dalton with Pastors Eric Ahlm and Matthew Froeschle officiating. Private family interment will precede the services in the Dalton Cemetery.
Memorials have been established to the United Church of the Plains or the Dalton Rescue Unit.
Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Monday at the Holechek Funeral Home in Sidney.
Jeanette Erna Ella Geller Pritts, the daughter of Arthur and Anna (Luecking) Groppe was born on October 9, 1934 in Sidney, Nebraska. She grew up in the Sidney area and graduated from Sidney High School in 1952. She married Charles Geller on June 20, 1954 and moved to the Dalton area.
Jeanette enjoyed taking the family to piano lessons/ recitals and ball games. She really enjoyed her Lions Club travels, doing her crafts, going to craft shows and square dancing. She worked at the Cheyenne County Chamber of Commerce for 3 ½ years in the early 1990’s.
Jeanette moved to Sidney and lived there for approximately 5 years. She married Elvin Pritts on April 8, 2000 in Dalton and they moved to Guide Rock, Nebraska.
Survivors include her husband Elvin of Guide Rock, NE; three daughters: Charlotte (Keith) Marshall of Ft. Collins, CO, Carol (Pete) Ditsch of Alliance, NE and Jennifer (Rev. Steven) Seng of Torrington, WY; 11 Grandchildren; 6 Great-grandchildren; step-children: Janet (Earl) Jamison of Kansas City, Terrell Pritts of Little Rock, AR and Wayne (Kathy) Pritts of Grayslake, IL; 6 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandson; two sisters: Jean (Edgar) Aurich of Sidney, NE and Ardis (George) Gordon of Centennial, CO as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles and son Lyle Geller.
